Quote NDI didn't come to the Elm City immediately, but Whippie organized a committee to raise interest among area schools and secure funding for a local program. With that framework in place, d'Amboise helped start the National Dance Institute/New Hampshire in 1986. Among the area NDI affiliate's initial partners, Whippie said Marlborough School, Cutler Elementary School in Swanzey, South Meadow School in Peterborough and The Well School in Peterborough all hosted classes.
