Natalia
Ksenia Rychkova of the Moscow Academy of Ballet (Bolshoi's school) -- who starred in the Burlaka recon Harlequinade Suite -- took the Grand Prix in the annual Mikhailovsky Prix, among top students from the best ballet academies in Russia: http://www.mikhailov...nners-announced Another Moscow Academy student who performed in Harlequinade, Mario Labrador, took another top prize (Artistic Council's Special Prize). All of the other prizes -- 1st, 2nd & 3rd-place medals -- went to students of the Krasnoyarsk Ballet Academy. It is rather interesting that, for the first time in the competition's history (or the history of its predecessor, the Vaganova Prix), no Vaganova Academy student earns a prize. Neither did the competitors from the prestigious Perm and Novosibirsk Academies take prizes. As the competition and the final gala were shown live via internet, hopefully we'll have some YouTube links soon.
