I know there's a few Whitney Jensen fans here (I'm one of them, after seeing the very assured performance she gave two years ago of the pas de deux from Pharaoh's Daughter at the YAGP gala). The Kozlova's protege is performing with the school before joining Boston Ballet (good for her):

Valentina Kozlova's Dance Conservatory Company, featuring Whitney Jensen, Albert Davydov, and dancers from the New Jersey Ballet joining the student dancers, will return to Symphony Space for a Spring Concert, June 13 at 8 PM. The program will consist of classical and contemporary ballets, including the complete Act III of Swan Lake, and dances from the opera Ruslan and Ludmilla, staged by Valentina Kozlova, former principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet and the New York City Ballet. There will also be pas de deux by choreographers Johan Renvall and Junio Teixeria.

Swan Lake Act III will feature Whitney Jensen, who will join the Boston Ballet this August, and Albert Davydov, principal dancer with the New Jersey Ballet. The 16-year old Jensen, a student of Valentina Kozlova, received the Grand Prix in the Junior Division at the July 2008 Varna International Ballet Competition, making her the first American and the first female to be so honored. In the 44-year history of Varna, that award has only been presented to three other young dancers, the first being Vladimir Vasiliev. Von Rothbart will be danced by Vitaly Veterich, trained in Kiev and Moscow and a dancer with companies in Russia as well as Riverdance on Broadway and around the world.

Dances from Ruslan and Ludmilla, music by Mikhail Glinka, will also be staged by Valentina Kozlova, after the original choreography by Petipa.

Guests Koto Kojima, a student of Valentina Kozlova, and David Tamaki, both dancers with the New Jersey Ballet, will perform Tango, music by Astor Piazzolla, choreography by Johan Renvall, formerly with the Royal Swedish Ballet and American Ballet Theatre.

Also from the New Jersey Ballet are Brazilian dancers Ana Luiza Luizi and Junio Teixeira, who will perform a duet choreographed by Teixeira.
