this scanned postcard offers some little windows on the ballet of La Scala's opera house in the mid-20th century.

This is great! Can anyone identify the productions? That shot on the lower right -- with a mass of girls in tutu and the distant village painted on the backddrop -- is astonishing. The landscape looks like Estremadura or Castille -- or Sicily?
