Ballet artists and social/economic class

North Korea is less a Marxist state than a one-off Stalinist one. Everything is dependent on the "Dear Leader". It's a tightly-knit "cult of personality", and if Kim liked ballet, then there would be some. Apparently, he doesn't and there isn't. But SOUTH Korea, from which of all places, I would have expected less in the way of ballet, has started to produce students and dancers who can make their ways very well on the international scene.
