silvy
Next April 28 (or is it 29?? - I am not sure) we in Uruguay celebrate the International Day of the Dance (Dia Internacional de la Danza). There are dance performances, and other activities. As I have virtually no information on this issue, I would welcome if someone could give me more info on that, as: - when it was created - why it was created (I understand it has somehow to do with dancer's rights, but, again, I am not sure) - by whom (or what organization) It is just that I want to know what I am celebrating!!!!!! Pamela Moberg
I am afraid we will have to celebrate in private here. I have also heard about it, but there seem to be no manifestations around here. Well, I'll drink to that and put on my favourite video. Either "Tzigane" with Farrell or "Giselle" Maximova-Vasiliev. Link to comment
sylphide
Hi Silvy, the International Dance Day is actually on the 29th and here is a link where you can find more info:Unesco And this is the message in Spanish ( I supposed it was your mother language) Mensaje del Día Internacional de la Danza I actually haven't seen anything going on in my city, unfortunatedly. I read somewhere that there are conferences going on in Paris at the UNESCO for that event. That is about all I have heard of. Have fun! Link to comment
