He is scheduled to perform at the 17th World Ballet Festival, which will be held at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in Japan from Wednesday, July 31, 2024 to Saturday, August 10, 2024.　 What he will dance is still undecided. He is currently with Semperoper Ballet Dresden as a principal dancer and ballet master. With the 2020/21 season, he was contracted as Principal Dancer and Ballet Master with the Semperoper Ballett. Having been appointed the Artistic Advisor of the company in the course of the 2022/23 season, Marcelo Gomes is co-leading the Semperoper Ballett as Artistic Manager together with Company Manager Adi Luick during the 2023/24 season.
