No Mearns Lilac Fairy the first week is surprising

Think Claire Kretzschmar and Unity Phelan would make good Lilac Fairies.
I would love to see Unity Phelan and those extensions as Lilac Fairy
-
Besides Reichlen and Mearns who were the previous Lilac Fairies?

For those of you who cannot make it to the City, but still want some Balanchine Nutcracker in their lives I have discovered that the 2011 Lincoln Center at the Movies recording is available for rent/purchase on iTunes, the Kevin Kline narrated version is still on Netflix. It was great to see the current dancers while sitting on my couch tonight. It has Fairchild/De Luz as Sugar Plum/ Cavalier, Bouder as Dewdrop, Reichlen as Coffee, and Peck as Marzipan.

very interested other about Ulbricht, he waited a long time for this

I thought Gretchen Smith's purple suit was stunning

I'm hoping we get to see some good debuts this year, does any one have debuts they are hoping to see?

Speaking of Reichlen I really really miss her as Tall Girl in Rubies. She was sensational every time she did it. I doubt I'll ever see a Tall Girl as amazing as her.
I wish they would have put her in since 2 of the 3 tall girls this run had to pull out

I'm not sure, either. In Catazaro's case, I couldn't find what his messages with Finlay and Loughitano have to do with Waterbury. They were definitely gross, but it doesn't seem like he received photos of her. If anyone has standing to sue him, it's the girl whose picture he sent to Finlay.
I think they are using them to bolster their argument that this was a culture at NYCB

Abi Stafford is getting a lot of roles, I haven't heard much about her. Any insight?

Surprised to Reichlen in Rubies, I've always heard she was excellent as the tall girl

It interests me that many posts have referred to the "complaint", which means they've read it. Yet no one has mentioned Chase Finlay's mental state. Aside from the gut wrenching texts and videos apparently sent around, the language he uses and the things he says indicate, to me at least, a very troubled person who needs help.
I'm sorry I have a lot of trouble feeling sorry for someone who ALLEGEDLY took nude photos and videos of women without their consent and disseminated them. He's literally the last person I'm worried about in this ordeal

It has always made me a little uneasy to see all of the senior male principals with young corps dancers, the power differential is huge. Besides Ramasar and Maxwell there is Veyette and Hod and De Luz was engaged to Gerrity. It doesn't bother me as much when company dancers of similar rank and age date.

Steifel went to SAB and danced with the company before moving across the plaza

No new Lovette?
Maybe they want her to do more dancing this season?

Mearns in Tschai Pas?
-
Has anyone else noticed that De Luz is dancing very little? I know there were speculations of retirement after that nutcracker post
-
How does Danchig-Waring stack up as an Apollo?
-
The article cites Justin Peck, Wendy Whelan, and Benjamin Millepied as the frontrunners to replace him
-
NYTimes just reported the official retirement
-
Whatever happened to his Dancer Fit program? He was posting nonstop about it this spring yet it's been crickets
-
I noticed he didn't dance much the the fall season and that he seems to be traveling quite a bit. It appears the engagement to Emilie Gerrity is off as he has scrubbed her from his social media. I wonder if that is why he is leaving?

Who is everyone excited to see in Nutcracker casting?
Winter 2019

As well as Reichlen as Lilac, I believe her debuting Carabosse is a sign as that is what Mearns did last run
