  1. I also saw both ballets when they were performed last spring and I really enjoyed them both. For a non dancer I would probably suggest NYCB's Midsummer Night's Dream just because it is very light and enchanting. I think it is also not quite as long as Swan Lake. They are both really great though, you definitly can't go wrong. I saw Nina Ananiashvili perform in Swan Lake last year and it was amazing!!! Hopefully I be be able to see them both again...gotta love student tickets!!!! :-)

  2. At my school there are visitors watching class quite often. I don't necessarily mind this but it can be a bit distracting. A lot of times we aren't told who they are so we are wondering if they are directors, choreographers, photograghers, visiting teachers or just observers. It sometimes makes me nervous but I try to continue class as usual. I hope I never appear bored to the viewers!!!!

  3. I attended the ABT Studio Company performance this past week at the Kaye Playhouse in NYC. Was anyone else from these boards able to attend?? I know some of the dancers and have taken class with them but I was truly impressed with their performances on stage. I thought they looked extremely well coached in all of the pieces and I was impressed by the presence each of them brought to the stage. They were all very good...I was especially impressed with Danny Tidwell, I think he is definitly a future ABT star in the making!!!!! :(

  4. I agree, I am a huge fan of Michele's. She was given lots of opportunities last season at the

Met and I saw her really grow as a performer from the beginning to the end of the season. She is absolutly beautiful and I am sure that a promotion will be in the near future!!!

  5. Just wondering since the Joffrey website doesn't seem to contain any dancer bios, does anyone know where the Joffrey gets most of its dancers from? Does the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC fill the company at all? I am just curious about the dancers and where they trained. What is the best way to get seen by that company?

  6. Do any of you know if there are tickets being sold at a student rate like the $10 standing room tickets that NYCB has? I would love to attend the workshop but don't know if I can pay the full amount!! Thanks!

  7. I am not really sure where the best place to post this is so if the moderators feel there is a better spot please move the topic! smile.gif

I am trying to do a little research on several companies as I get ready to begin my auditions for professional companies and I came across this one. I know very little about this company and was wondering if anyone here is familar with them? If you are please post because I would love to ask some questions!! Thanks!
