Hi Lovebird! i only know that Alicia Amatriain is a current demi soloist at the Stuttgart Ballet and that she trained at the John Canko School, a professional ballet school in Stuttgart. There, she studied on a scholarship from 1996-1997, so I assume that she is about 22-24 years old. Hope that i was able to help you a little bit. Could you please explain to me what you mean with violence in this genre? In which way is this indicated? I haven't been able to visit too many ballets yet, and I've never seen a full length modern ballet piece, so I don't really have a firm opinion concerning this topic. Svenia

Hi! I recently bought the video as well as the book from the New York City Ballet Workout and I'm curious if anyone of you puchased it as well and how it has worked for you. Also, it is meant to be designed for dancers as well as for non-dancers, but do you believe it's true? I've been dancing ballet for quite a while but even I was sometimes a bit confused by the choreography (I'm espacially talking of the end of the last warm-up section with albert evans and edwaard liang). So, let me hear your opinion, I'm looking forward to it. Svenia
