Principal Dancer Douglas Lee

I missed him in Swanlake, Lulu, Endstation Sehnsucht and now in Giselle.
Is he injured or is he so busy with the choreography of his new work?
It would be nice if anybody could tell about him.

When turning my old Stuttgart Ballet Calendar to February (to a rehearsal photo of Douglas Lee) I had the same thoughts...

Reinhard, did you happen to attend the rehearsal or the first night of Giselle?? So far, I have not been able to find any reviews, not even in newspapers (but maybe I am blind??)

It was not a rehearsal in the way I expected it but it was full length Giselle with short interruptions. Mostly the stop was to tell the corps what they have to change or to do better.
The performance was without orchestra but with only piano music.
Maria Eichwald was a wonderful Giselle. I saw her for the first time. She is a real gain for Stuttgart Ballet. The part of Albrecht was danced excellently by Mikhail Kaniskin.
Well, you will see the both of them at this weekend. I am afraid you will see the same cast twice...
There is a short review on the first night in the Stuttgarter Zeitung.

(Listed was Ibrahim Ínal, at first without a note, but the moment when he came on stage I noticed the change - well, a few moments later.)
Don't know Ibrahim Ínal well, but it was a VERY nice surprise!
Re the rest - will try to write a bit more later in the Giselle topic... But I had a great time!
