K2356
I read about the Grigorovich ballet being on U.S. tour this winter. In the newspaper the ballet will be performing Swan Lake and Raymonda in Detroit in January 2002. This is odd to me because my ballet dancer friend in Moscow tells me that the "Russian Theater" is having a big anniversity celibration of Grigorvich in Moscow in January. In fact the ballet my friend works for is doing Grigorvich's "Ivan the Terrible" this season as tribute. Maybe Grigorvich will not be touring with his ballet company in U.S, ? Link to comment
Juliet
January is a long month.....perhaps they are doing both. I know that they will be in Annapolis on January 28th with Swan Lake (because I am working that show) and probably elsewhere in the Washington area.... I think it will be very, very interesting to hear the reviews...especially as Bolshoi is bringing his Swan Lake in June as well... If anyone has further information, I am sure it will be posted here, Kevin-- Link to comment

Kevin Ng
Meanwhile the Russian State Ballet, another Moscow company, is touring in Ireland. Kirov principals Maya Dumchenko and Evgeny Ivanchenko are guests. http://www.ireland.com/newspaper/features/.../1215/fea20.htm [ December 15, 2001: Message edited by: Kevin Ng ] Link to comment
