Guest Aly15grl
My ballet dance is to Sleeping Beauty. We haven't revieved our practice tapes yet, but I would like to practice. I just came to realize that there are many different versions of this music, and was wondering if anyone knows which one it might be. It is a waltz with very load and intense music, lots of jumps. The music comes to a stop like the song is over, but then it starts up again a little bit softer, then it gets intense again. If you have any ideas that would be great! Link to comment
Mel Johnson
In Sleeping Beauty? There are many, many separate numbers in that score, and some of them have subparts. And remember, loud-soft-loud is called a "piano sandwich" - it's a common format for a lot of music! If you're talking about the Act I waltz, that's some five minutes+ long! Far too long for a solo.
