This is one of my favorite ballets. Saw it again last month at Covent Garden,
There is no comercial video available. But if you sent me your address I will sent you a copy as it was shown here in London on TV with the Royal Ballet and the NYCB.

Serenade was on German/French TV 2 weeks ago. A friend of mine taped it and will sent it to London for me. It must be the 60s recording wich I have already. But not a very good copy. And I do have a copy from last years with the NYCB.
If interested please contact

(but I can make European Video System Copys only)

Can someone help me please?
I would like to know what ballets the BBC accutally showed on TV during the 50s 60s and early 70s.
Lots of what they showed the apparently erased. But a number of ballets they must have still in their archive.

I got the video tape and I admired Gracheva in La Bayadere. But not as much as I loved her in other parts. My favorite is her "Pharaos daughter" and her Corsaire pas deu deux has such charm and grace I started to wonder "where could she possible get this from". I find her not "sloppy" at all.

Some 10 years ago I saw in London a french company performing "La fille malGardee".It was apparently the original Daubervall version of the ballet. And I was charmed by it. The whole ballet was a relevation for me.
Does anyone know anything about it?Does a video of it exist?

I know the La Bayadere Reconstruction from a video tape only.
(Will see a live performance in London on August 2nd).
The main difference is surely the 4th act. The whole grandeur and drama of Petipas Coreography - so long buried - took me completely by surprise. I love this 4th act so much I watch it at least once a week.

I have got a video called "Evening at the Maly".Shown are 3 one act Petipa Ballet. Paquita, Harlequinade and the 3rd one I neither know how to pronounce nor to write. It is the ballet Petipa did for his daughter who was a character dancer.
A friend in Russia sent me another Ballet, officially by Petipa "The Humback Horse, or something like it" There are inded traces of Petipa there but alas only traces.

I do have the NYCB, Royal Ballet, the Mariinsky and the Bolshoi "Symphoni in C", which is one of my favorite ballets. I would like to exchange with a copy of Concerto Barocco, again one of my favorite ballet but quite unoptainable it seems.( I do have the Concerto Barroco filmed in Germany, which Balanchine apparently greatly disliked and which is almost unwatchable.)
