I'm not sure what is the answer for casting of Nikia?
As Alexandra noted, different acts of La Bayadere are almost like separate ideas, and not unison in style. Being so different, they are definitely requiring different skills from it's dancers.
According to the "laws" of emploi, where would Nikia belong?
(Kirov i.e.. had both Vishneva and Zacharova in the role. They are not similar dancers and usually they are not casted in same roles, as far as I can tell?)
