When did Fracci retire? If her appearances with La Scala in San Francisco were in 1987, she would have been in her early 50's. I can't imagine she continued to dance major roles much beyond that? Or did she?
Thanks again.

members with more connection to and knowledge of Italian ballet and La Scala in particular will be able to add more information here, but, as far as one can tell, Fracci has not retired so much as taken her career through stages with regard to the kinds of roles she feels capable of performing.
i suspect she's had a number of 'special night' gala performances to mark her career landmarks, but, as for quitting the stage altogether, i don't know that she's done that.
i trust you've done some reasearch to see what she's performed in recent past, etc.
