BOSTON BALLET OPENS FALL SEASON WITH EXCLUSIVE GALA PERFORMANCE FEATURING ACCLAIMED COMPANY DANCERS AND SPECIAL GUEST ARTIST HERMAN CORNEJO

WHAT:           Boston Ballet’s one-time-only all-star gala performance, Night of Stars.

This benefit evening will feature Boston Ballet, Boston Ballet School, the full Boston Ballet Orchestra and renowned guest artist Herman Cornejo.

The program features works by master choreographers George Balanchine, Marius Petipa, August Bournonville and Roland Petit as well works by today’s dynamic contemporary choreographers Christopher Wheeldon, Helen Pickett and Jorma Elo and rising young artists Heather Myers and Boyko Dossev.

WHO:             The performance will showcase Boston Ballet’s international roster of acclaimed principal dancers performing solos, pas de deux, and excerpts from classical and contemporary ballets.

This year’s guest artist is American Ballet Theatre Principal Dancer Herman Cornejo.  Cornejo will perform the pas de deux from Vasily Vainonen’s Flames of Paris with Boston Ballet principal dancer (and his sister), Erica Cornejo.  Daniil Simkin, previously announced as a guest artist for the event, will not perform due to Visa complications.
