carbro Posted May 30, 2005 Share Posted May 30, 2005 One very interesting feature of NYCB's website that I recently discovered is the section devoted to the Costume Shop. You can get there via the pull-down menu on the right hand side of the home page. It shows, among many other things, the recent reconstruction of some of the costumes for Diamonds. It isn't visible in the photos here, but in performances the past couple of weeks -- and last season -- I was bothered by the bouncing feathers behind the corps women's shoulders. I didn't remember them from earlier performances, but I couldn't help but obsess over how distracted the gals must be by the inevitable tickle of the feathers' movement on their backs. Anyone have info on this "embellishment"? Link to comment
