What a sad day for PNB fans.

Alison Basford will be joining Boston Ballet next season. It was announced at the staff/donor party following the Eight Encores performance this past Sunday.

Kara Zimmerman is not retiring from dance. She is leaving PNB to become a soloist with Cincinnati next season!

Thanks for the tips balletdad. I thought a free ballet performance would fill up fast!

I'll be visiting San Francisco that weekend (from Seattle). I was so excited to see that SFB is performing at Stern Grove, but as a tourist I have a few questions:

1) How far from the city (we are staying in Union Square) is Stern Grove? and

2) How early should we get there?
