I would like to buy standing room tickets in the orchestra for Saturday night's performance of Romeo and Juliet. Do these go on sale on Saturday morning at 10:00am at the Met Opera box office? Would you recommend going much earlier than 10:00am to stand in line?

Here's another one: http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/20...11jpg-515h.html
Did anyone notice that the caption reads:
"Sitting with children, President and Laura Bush watch the American Ballet COMPANY perform part of the Holiday classic, "The Nutcracker," during the Children's Holiday Reception in the East Room Monday, Dec. 5, 2005. White House photo by Shealah Craighead"
As far as I know, the company's name is American Ballet THEATRE .

Thanks for your response, carbro!
Would you say that the Ferri/Carreno cast constitutes a big "hot ticket" event? According to the Met Opera website, everything except the Center Parterre and Family Circle is sold out. Any other advice about how to purchase orchestra standing room tickets would be greatly appreciated .
