I am curious to know just when NYCB's Concerto Barocco transitioned from black practice clothes to white practice clothes.

I have seen a photo from 1950 (with Diana Adams & Tanaquil Le Clercq) in black... and then a 1960 photo (Allegra Kent & Conrad Ludlow) in white, so it must be at a point in between.

I am hoping to find anyone connected with these (former) companies. Do either still exist?

I am looking for information regarding the presentation of a performance with Peter Martins and Mikhail Baryshnikov in 1979. I am hoping to find someone with an old program, from which I may extract information for research I am currently doing. The piece I am looking for info. on was titled "Suite from Chopin Dances" (most likely a mixture of solos and pas de deux from "Dances at a Gathering" and "Other Dances"). If anyone has any info. on where/when, or what choreography was featured, please email me. Thanks!

Especially subtle (and brilliant) were the clips that revealed the differentiation of the partnerships that Jock had at NYCB. Seeing him partner was a lesson in how well he brought out the unique qualities in each ballerina. A very moving film overall.

Thank you. In fact is IS "In the Night" that I was looking for information on.. I knew it was one of those two. Does anyone have any idea who danced in this (unauthorized, I am sure) premiere of "In the Night"?

I seem to recall now that the premiere may have even been in Spain in October 1978, while the National Ballet of Cuba was on tour...? Does anyone have any connections to this company to confirm who the dancers may have been? Thanks.

I am wondering whether anyone can provide information about a supposed staging of Jerome Robbins' "Dances at a Gathering" by the National Ballet of Cuba. From what info. I have, I know it was in 1978... and the costumes were by Oscar de la Renta. I was hoping someone had a cast list, and date/location of the premiere for the company. Thanks!

I have tried both the Suzanne Farrell Ballet AND the Kennedy Center. Both have provided me with information from the performances in 2001.

But the Jerome Robbins "Afternoon of a Faun" received it's first performance from the Suzanne Farrell Ballet on October 21, 1999 (at the Kennedy Center). There doesn't seem to be anyone who knows who danced it, and who staged it. Anyone know? Thanks!

I have been trying to find information about a staging at the Boston Ballet and have been unable to find where old programmes are archived. I am only looking for the premiere performance cast/credits for one ballet (Jerome Robbins' "Interplay" - February 26, 2001, Wang Center, Boston.) I'm going by one of the most treasured books I own, "Choreography by George Balanchine: A Catalogue of Works, published in 1983 by The Eakins Press Foundation. A photographic portrait of Balanchine by Tanaquil Le Clercq is the frontispiece. Her name is in innumerable entries, of course, and appears throughout as Le Clercq, with the space.
