I saw the Louisville Ballet's production and I didn't like it at all! My mom and I went and we both didn't like it from the beginning during the insane assylum and awful music! During the intermission, we decided to eat dinner at the Bristol that was just inside the building instead. And believe me, I love mostly every ballet I see!

Thanks! I guess I should have checked there first, but I thought maybe someone else is from Cleveland on Balletalert so they might already know.

I didn't vote. I think that Technique and Personality should go together. A dancer with just personality you might look at and think ick! And then a dancer with just technique would be really boring.

I also saw a girl wearing pointe shoes in the Spring issue of Teen Vogue. That is neat that it is now fashionable to wear pointe shoes!

Does anyone have any information on when ABT is coming to Cleveland?

Paquita,
That tutu you wore in the picture is awesome! Really Pretty!

I was not able to read the article since I did not sign up. Do you mean dancers doing better in the corps than as a principal dancer? Or no personality at all???

I picked the talented experienced dancer who's done a role for many years. We're talking about the same role each year???

I love flat tutus! I have only worn one tutu and it was a classical tutu that was white for my spring program. My dream tutu would be a flat tutu that is a deep blue with diamond like things sewn on. But I would probably LOVE wearing any kind of tutu!

I picked Paris.

Nope. But I do try to go to as many ballets as I can!

I picked Balanchine! My school teaches Balanchine technique.

I begged to go see the movie for a VERY long time. I was sort of dissapointed when I did see it though.

No, I haven't heard of that story.
Okay, here is some more interesting stuff I can add to what I said before;)
The
(who has a tutu in the shape of a block of cheese) takes out a chart and points out that there is not enough protein in the fish that Albrecht sold. But she was really just trying to get him back for selling her a bad fish when she was alive. The dairy fairies (who are wearing white tutus and have white mustaches. got milk?) agree.Dairy QueenBut morning comes too soon and the Dairy Queen and fairies have to disapear.

Well, my teacher said that her son (although not new to ballet, but in a beginning level) wouldn't sit through the Rockettes at all, but loved when the Ohio Ballet performed Dracula! I can sort of understand that though because he seems like a person who likes to get into a lot of mischeif.
