  1. I honestly don't know nanushka. Has Kochatkova danced the role with Sarafanov before?

If I'm not mistaken Kochetkova has not performed a full La Bayadere before. She danced Nikiya in The Kingdom of Shades scene, which Makarova set at San Francisco Ballet two seasons ago.

  2. I thought ABT was done with Cojocaru, so I'm surprised. I was hoping they would invite Tereshkina and Shklyarov back. I'm not a fan of Cojocaru at this stage in her career (I think she's ruined her body) and have zero interest in seeing Misty. I'll be exchanging my ticket for the second Kimin Kim/ Semionova performance.

Cojocaru is a principal with English National Ballet plus permanent guest in Hamburg and Bucharest National Opera. Perhaps she was invited as a guest this season but declined due to other committments? Her website indicates that she is appearing in Tokyo Ballet's La Bayadere on June 11th. Casting has not been announced for the premiere of Neumeir's Peer Gynt in Hamburg but the ballet has a large cast so there should be a good chance of Cojocaru being included.

I'm a bit puzzled by the general comments on Cojocaru's reliability. If I remember correctly, between 2010-14 Cojocaru stepped out of three ABT performances. Two were in 2013 (Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty) when she had an ankle injury and the cast change was announced several weeks before. She and Kobborg even performed an extra Sleeping Beauty in 2011 to replace Osipova. Apart from one Swan Lake with the former Cojocaru hasn't missed any performances with ENB or Hamburg, so overall I would book to see her with confidence.

But yes, it is a shame that an ABT ballerina isn't being given that spot. I always thought Stella Abrera would be a lovely Nikiya.

  3. Hi everyone,

I am selling one ticket on behalf of a friend to each of the following Mikhailovsky Ballet performances at the Koch Theatre in NYC. The tickets were for $119 + fees each but she would be happy to sell at $65 each.

    1. Giselle on Thursday November 13th 2014, 7:30pm (Natalia Osipova/Leonid Sarafanov) Orchestra Stalls C10.

    2. Three Centuries of Russian Ballet on Tuesday November 18th, 7:30pm (Class Concert/Cavalry Halt/Prelude) Orchestra Stalls B10.

[Admin edit]If interested please send me a private message. Thanks.[/Admin edit]

    Manon and/or Romeo and Juliet

    Giselle

    Ratmansky's Sleeping Beauty

    Le Corsaire

    Swan Lake

Two Mixed Bills (possible works include Fancy Free, Push Comes to Shove, a Balanchine piece and Tudor?)

I would also love to see 'La Fille Mal Gardee', 'Rhapsody', 'The Merry Widow', 'The Bright Stream' and 'Onegin.'

  5. Hi everyone,

I had purchased tickets for ABT's Met season for myself and a few friends. However, a few of them won't be able to make it and I am looking to sell the following tickets slightly below cost:

    1) Romeo and Juliet: June 14th (Osipova/Hallberg) ROW E seat 115 Orchestra Stalls Centre section

    2) Romeo and Juliet: June 11th (Semionova/Hallberg) ROW K seat 116 Orchestra Stalls Centre section and I seat 15 (Orchestra Side)

    3) Romeo and Juliet: June 15th matinee (Murphy/Stearns) ROW I107 Orchestra Stalls Centre

    4) Swan Lake: June 17th (Semionova/Hallberg) Row A seat 20 (Orchestra side)

Except for the matinee R+J, which is $85, I am selling each ticket for $100 (I payed $110 when I purchased them as part of a subscription). Please message on leenahassan68@hotmail.com me if interested and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

    Thanks in advance!
