Skuespilhuset Store Scene
In May 2013, Corpus held the premiere of its first full-scale ballet We're not waving ... We're drowning. To reconstruct last year’s performance, Corpus has this year handpicked a number of artists and cultural figures, who do not necessarily have anything to do with dance.
The title says it all. Everything is the same – and yet not quite so. For how will this performance be interpreted by people with an entirely different background and outlook? Indeed, will the performance show us a whole new angle of ballet as an art form?
The topics and set design are unchanged, and we may even see a repeat of a few step designs. But things are most definitely out of the ordinary when audiences are once again invited to experience an exciting and unorthodox evening where dance makes an impact and where set ideals of expression are challenged.
