K8smom
I have been searching for a video of SFB's Romeo and Juliet (Michael Smuin's, from sometime in the late 70s or early 80s). Haven't been able to find it anywhere, but I saw it once on PBS, so I know it was at least filmed. Also, I was wondering if anyone knows if SFB's The Tempest was ever filmed. Thanks for any suggestions... Link to comment
Mme. Hermine
hi; they were both televised but unfortunately never released commercially. Link to comment

K8smom
Thanks so much for that information. I'm disappointed, but at least I know now that they aren't available. Maybe someday... Link to comment
BalletNut
If you come to SF, check out the Performing Arts Library, next to the Opera House, they have at least one of these, can't remember which. You'd have to become a member first, though, and watch it there. Link to comment
Watermill
Buried in the Cinderella credits: "Narrators: The Muppets" I can see it now: "PIIIIGS EN POINTE!" Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Aw, they did that already. Remember the Nureyev show? Link to comment
Mme. Hermine
actually the muppets provide a very cute framework for the broadcast, with miss piggy and kermit in a box as well as good old statler and waldorf providing commentary! Link to comment
K8smom
Thanks BalletNut! I'll keep that in mind. Link to comment
gemnerd
I have been searching for a video of SFB's Romeo and Juliet (Michael Smuin's, from sometime in the late 70s or early 80s). Haven't been able to find it anywhere, but I saw it once on PBS, so I know it was at least filmed. Also, I was wondering if anyone knows if SFB's The Tempest was ever filmed. Thanks for any suggestions... Although it appears they are not commercially available, I was able to see the Romeo and Juliet at the New York Library for the Performing Arts in Lincoln Center. It was free and you don't have to have any kind of membership. I wanted to see it as I thought my memory of the live performance had been enhanced by time. It wasn't. It was one of the best R&Js from a dramatic perspective (and you get to see Evelyn Cisneros play a street prostitute -- very fun). Link to comment
