Natalia
Sorry for Irina Dvorovenko's injury...but... Michele Wiles will dance Medora in the 'Corsaire' performances of June 18 & 22nd (the latter a matinee). That should be something. I also notice that Wiles is dancing one of the Rose Adagios/Tchaikovsky Program. Link to comment
Manhattnik
Is this on ABT's web site? I suppose if anyone at ABT could fill La Irina's toe shoes, it's Wiles. I'll be there. Hmm. Wonder if they'll give Wiles the 2nd Mvt. Symphony in C that Dvorovenko was down for (I have been looking forward to THAT one for quite some time!). I am sad that it seems Dvorovenko will be out for more than just a few days. I hope she makes a speedy recovery. Link to comment
Natalia
Yes, it's on the schedule/calendar on the ABT site. You can also find the exact date for her Rose Adagio there. Wiles is still listed as dancing 4th movement in Bizet, as originally scheduled. Don't recall who is replacing ID in 2nd movement. Although it's much easier for me to attend the Sat matinee (don't need to take time off work), I'm seriously tempted to buy a ticket to the mid-week-evening debut. [i'm assuming this is her debut in the full role. Does anyone know if Wiles has already danced this role on tour?] This is a *major* break for Wiles. Link to comment
Paquita
Michele Wiles will also be competing in the Erik Bruhn Prize, held here in Toronto's Hummingbird Centre, this monday. I can't remember who her partner will be, but they are dancing Grand Pas Classique for the classical section and Manon pdd (not sure which) for the contemporary. She certainly is busy these days!
