dirac
A preview of We Call It Ballet's "Sleeping Beauty." Quote ‘We Call It Ballet’ breathes new life into Sleeping Beauty’s story of sleepy kingdoms, magical fairies and hidden castles. Iconic compositions guide the way, but it’s the raw talent of gracious ballerinas paired with the twinkling glimmer of the glow-in-the-dark costumes that steal the show. The stage is lit up by the ballerinas’ dazzling outfits, creating a unique dance experience that’s a feast for the eyes and ears. Link to comment
dirac
A review of American Ballet Theatre in "Like Water for Chocolate" by Marianne Adams for danceviewtimes.com. Quote American Ballet Theatre ending its five-week season at the Metropolitan Opera House with Christopher Wheeldon’s “Like Water for Chocolate” seemed like an emblematic move committed to its determined new identity – a company of story ballets, new world-class choreographies and solid, home-grown dancing talent.
