I had the pleasure of performing Rodeo years ago when Paul Sutherland set it on my company. We also had the added benefit of Freddie Franklin in for a few days, so it was a real treat! Paul was a treasure setting this ballet. I remember him telling us that since it’s not a classically technical ballet that we’d be fine to just have a cup of hot tea and do some ankle circles before going onstage to perform, and our artistic director behind him gasping in horror at the thought of us replacing warm-up class with a cup of tea! I hope Ballet West has such fun with this. Link to comment
