volcanohunter Posted October 20, 2022 Share Posted October 20, 2022 (edited) Demis Volpi, currently artistic director of the Ballett am Rhein, will succeed John Neumeier as director of the Hamburg Ballet in 2024. This means that Neumeier, who is 83 and has directed the company for 49 years, will stay on for an extra season. I had always assumed that Lloyd Riggins was being groomed for the top job. Instead, he will continue being Deputy Artistic Director under Volpi.
