These streams are usually available for about three days. volcanohunter Posted September 18, 2022 Author Share Posted September 18, 2022 Yes. I found Abel's tempos maddeningly fast and liked Zámečníková a lot. The production had a 20th-century setting, without obvious Franco references, conveyed through clothing, since there basically were no sets. Anyone looking for a postcard version of Spain would likely be disappointed, but I've always thought that the opera's sole appeal is its music. Link to comment

The production was staged by Saburo Teshigawara and features dancers Rihoko Sato, Joe Takahashi, Shizuka Sato and Hamburg Ballet star Alexandre Riabko. Lawrence Zazzo as Orfeo, Valda Wilson as Euridice and Rie Miyake as Amore, conducted by Masato Suzuki. Available on demand until April 7, 2023. Not quite opera, but Calixto Bieito has staged Mahler's Das klagende Lied and Kindertotenlieder for the Vienna State Opera. With Florian Boesch, Vera-Lotte Boecker, Monika Bohinec and Daniel Jenz, conducted by Lorenzo Viotti.
