Quote But for Victoria Hulland, the moment will be “bittersweet.” The principal dancer recently announced her retirement from the company that has been her home for virtually her entire professional career, in order to focus on her 2-year-old daughter with her husband, British actor Edward French. After 15 years, she will make her final appearances in George Balanchine’s “Serenade” and Kenneth MacMillan’s “Elite Syncopations” on a triple bill that also includes the company premiere of Mark Morris’ “The Letter V.” Link to comment

Quote Macarena Gimenez and Maximiliano Iglesias, both previously of the Ballet Estable del Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires will join the company as principal dancers following the ballet’s return appearance at the Joyce Theatre in New York City in August. Gimenez and Iglesias came to the attention of Sarasota Ballet Director Iain Webb and his wife, assistant director Margaret Barbieri, through a contact with The Royal Ballet, who shared that the dancers were looking for a new home. Quote "Gisele was born for this role," said Laurie Sacks about her dog.
