Layoffs and cutbacks at Colorado Ballet.


Colorado Ballet’s 60th anniversary season will now feature three productions instead of five: The Great Gatsby, The Wizard of Oz and Giselle. 

Ticketing revenue lost from The Nutcracker and Giselle is projected to be between $3.5 million and $4 million.

The National Ballet of Canada announces its new virtual season.


In one film, choreographer Guillaume Cote presents the new work "Lulu," about a woman who "lets go of her tainted past to start anew."

In another, choreographer Robert Binet revisits his 2012 Lawren Harris-inspired piece "Lake Maligne," this time with first soloist Spencer Hack performing outdoors at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto.
