Helene
Actress Dame Enid Diana Elizabeth Rigg has died. She was diagnosed with cancer only in May. As a young girl, her Emma Peel was a super hero that I could never have imagined. Rest in peace, Diana Rigg. https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-54106509 Link to comment
abatt
I keep a mental list of the most astonishing Broadway performances I have seen. Her Medea in the late 90s was astonishing. Link to comment
pherank
I grew up on The Avengers - The Diana Rigg period was iconic. My parents had seen her on stage, but I never had the chance. A fascinating talent. Link to comment
Drew
A wonderful —and beautiful—actress. May she rest in peace. Link to comment
dirac
Rigg had a great stage career and was a favorite of the late John Dexter. She also compiled an amusing book of bad reviews, "No Turn Unstoned." She never quite made it in feature films, which is too bad. She came along at a time when there weren't many opportunities for strong female stars. RIP. Thank you for posting, Helene, her death hasn't received the attention it's due, IMO. Link to comment
