Buddy
“Explanation: What are these humans doing? Dancing. Many humans on Earth exhibit periods of happiness, and one method of displaying happiness is dancing. Happiness and dancing transcend national boundaries and occur in practically every human society. Above, Matt Harding traveled through many nations on Earth, planned on dancing, and filmed the result. The featured video, one in a series of similar videos, is perhaps a dramatic example that humans from all over planet Earth feel a common bond as part of a single species. Happiness is frequently contagious -- few people are able to watch the featured video without smiling.” https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap200614.html Edited June 15, 2020 by Buddy Link to comment

Thanks, Sandik, for keeping the spotlight on this “charming” set of videos, although they seem to be doing fine without us. The 2008 (the original) shown above has over 52 Million views ! The later one here from 2012 seems to have a more ‘mellowed’ Matt (he’s a new father, it appears) and a more ‘mellowed’ feeling. All the ones that I’ve seen are great ! (Where the Hell is Matt? 2012. The series title seems to have changed to “Where the Heck is Matt?” This somewhat more pleasant title is more in keeping with the joy of these videos) Link to comment

YouOverThere
This hardly qualifies as ballet, but it does fit under "feel good videos". A 102 year old woman sees videos of her dance performances for the first time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bktozJWbLQg&fbclid=IwAR2qf8TBv4fQTK2lC2toioNBSQ0VUWNQ4aQnhPew-5H1bqli14vhvnLRIHs Link to comment

I like it. I went investigating and that illusionist has created a whole slew of quickie illusion videos - check 'em out:https://www.instagram.com/zachking/ The PB Nutcracker video was enjoyable as well. Now, how many dancers get comments from the likes of Aurelie Dupont and Alexei Ratmansky on their silly video? https://www.instagram.com/p/CKHfWRVFR5G/ Link to comment

I think that this clip is absolutely charming ! Disney at its best. There’s another movie, Leap (english) / Ballerina (french), that does have delightful dance related sequences that can be found on the internet in unofficial clips. I think that this can be considered an authorised posting. Edited January 23, 2022 by Buddy Link to comment
