Quote Both dancers — who were not identified in a news release sent out Tuesday afternoon — had been traveling out of state since March 1 and recently returned to Salt Lake City, according to the company. The two dancers haven’t had contact with Ballet West Academy students, Ballet West staff or other dancers since returning from their East Coast trip, according to Ballet West. Link to comment

Quote Na Dae-han, 28, corps de ballet dancer at the Korean National Ballet, was fired for traveling to Japan during home quarantine period. The national ballet company held a disciplinary committee meeting on Monday where the decision was made to fire Na. Related. Quote Seventy of the 90 La Scala dancers are full-time employees, a spokesman for the theater, Paolo Besana, said in email. The remaining 20 are on short-term contracts. But even they are being paid, at least for now. (Smaller theaters can’t afford to do the same.) La Scala too will suffer: Mr. Besana said the theater’s losses from ticket receipts amount to about a million euros a week. Link to comment

Quote Alice Topp’s much anticipated new work Logos forms the heart of The Australian Ballet’s triple bill program "Volt". At each side of it, renowned British choreographer, Wayne McGregor, dazzled with Chroma, made in 2006, and Dyad 1929, made on the Australian Ballet in 2009. Topp credits having worked with McGregor as inspiring her to begin seriously making her own choreographies. Last year she also had the chance to work with Company Wayne McGregor dancers, resulting in the opening moments of Logos. She is now a rising star and Logos represents is another step in cementing her place as a very fine choreographer. Link to comment
