Hello there! I've been on this site for a while, monitoring and reading forums though I finally decided I think it's time for me to join in the conversation!

A dancer I've been watching in Mariinsky/Vaganova for the past few years now is Vlada Borodulina, a 2017 graduate, now in her second year in the corps de ballet. She's very low-key, though has some great achievements such as the Diamond Fairy in 'Sleeping Beauty', Peasant Pas and Zulma in 'Giselle', the Flower Sellers in 'Don Quixote', Emeralds Pas de Trois, Diamonds Demi-Soloist in 'Jewels' and most recently one of the Russian Girls in Balanchine's 'Serenade', among others.

She's quite phenomenal-- she has a wonderful ability to fill out the music through the tips of her fingers, incredibly clean technique, and a fantastic jump. I think she's definitely one to watch, and I hope others share my thoughts!

Welcome--you are certainly not intruding!  I hope to see the Mariinsky in D.C. next month when they bring Corsaire. (Perhaps you will be there too?) I don't know that Borodulina will be with them or have a featured role, but I will look out for her.

Also greetings.

She's not listed as one of the second ballerinas for today's Festival performance of Serenade but she will be one of the "Flower Sellers" next Thursday in Don Quixote. I'll try to remember to watch for her.

Added: Maybe post a reminder here if you care to. There are so many good things to keep track of at these Festivals.

I had my eyes on going since they announced it after bringing 'La Bayadere', but I won't be able to make it this time-- there's always Paquita in October though!

I don't know what she's doing either-- she wasn't on the East Asian tour, though stayed behind and made some debuts, but then went on tour to Baden-Baden where (according to a comment on a russianballetvideos2 video, so I'm not 100% certain) she debuted the Pas de Trois in 'Swan Lake' (Iater did it in SPB but I don't know why it didn't make it onto her repertoire page). All this to say-- who knows!

Pardon me, didn't mean as a soloist/principal, more so a demi-soloist. I believe the four girls who dance with the Russian Girl (danced by Nuikina and Ivannikova in the most recent performances) are also called the Russian Girls, though I could be wrong.

There's a video of this on @like_anart 's Instagram, though that account has gone private. It features Ionova, Borodulina, Nuikina, Mikheikina, and Guseinova.

Thank you!

I did see her at the Mariinsky Festival as one of the two "Flower Sellers"  in Don Quixote, Annaewgn. I best recall her long animated limbs. She did fine and I look forward to seeing more of her.

Oh good to hear! If you're in SPB at the end of the month it looks like she'll be debuting the First Shade in 'La Bayadere'.
