Lynette H
Some more info on this in a shared article in the Times "Still, he accepts that “change is very much in the air and inevitably it’s the turn of other, younger talents, but older artists are a hugely important part of the dance ecology and the Arts Council doesn’t know what to do with us. There’s also a very unhealthy pressure for all organisations — even the big ballet companies — to reinvent themselves all the time and roll over backwards to do something new.” " https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/the-last-dance-for-richard-alston-73zk6kwh3?shareToken=bd5031f7b2f00a317f12c87a2998c74e Link to comment
Lynette H
I noticed in an article in Broadway World that Alston has accepted a position as Resident Choreographer for the next two seasons at New York Theatre Ballet. I'm glad to hear that he will still be creating work, but sorry from my point of view that it's the other side of the Atlantic. Link to comment
