Helene
In this episode of the Conversations on Dance podcast, Margaret Tracey discusses her early ballet training and career with NYCB, but I'm posting it here for her discussion about her transition to teaching about what she's doing as head of the Boston Ballet School, which is quite inspiring: https://conversationsondancepod.com/2018/08/27/margaret-tracey/ Link to comment
kylara7
I listened to this over the weekend and was very impressed. Tracey sounds like a caring and thoughtful educator who is on the hunt for ways to blend traditional ballet instruction with contemporary innovations in pedagogy and has a nurturing leadership style :) Link to comment
Peg
I agree that it was an excellent conversation. I wondered, though, why there was no mention of Tracey’s sister Kathleen who also performed with NYCB as a principal and is currently a ballet master with the Company. It seemed very odd that she was not mentioned in any way, even when Margaret reflected on her family background. Link to comment
