New NEH grant (March 2017)

In the spring 2017 round of grants, the National Endowment for the Humanities has awarded $6,000 for a Summer Stipend to Clare Croft at the University of Michigan for "A Biography of American Dance Critic Jill Johnston (1929-2010)." This is yet another reminder that NEH matters to dance, along with NEA.

Thanks for the link -- I notice that a Washington state organization got some funding for a study on preserving digital media.  I saw a showing of some materials that were digitized from local archives recently, including film of dance works from the 1990s.  A great start on a very needed project.
