Natalia
I'm not sure if this has been publicized outside Latin America but Cuba's national treasure, the great Alicia Alonso, today welcomed US President Barack Obama to the theater that now bears her name (Gran Teatro Alicia Alonso). The following TV report, from the Caracas-based regional cable organization teleSUR, is in Spanish but the visuals are worth sharing and quite precious, including her grand entrance into a loge, delighting the audience with some swan-arm moves. http://videos.telesurtv.net/video/489266/el-gran-teatro-de-la-habana-reabrira-este-1o-de-enero The same, via YouTube, in case the above link doesn't work on some servers: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hoYeoJ1VKDw The Gran Teatro was renamed for Alonso upon its re opening two months ago, following a very long period of renovation.
