abatt
http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/02/23/vail-international-dance-festival-announces-new-program/?ref=arts&_r=0 Carla Korbes will be the dancer in residence this season. Lineup sounds great, as usual. Only thing that sounds odd is Herman Cornejo as Apollo. He's too short, in my opinion, for that role.
cobweb
Would love any reports! Especially about Herman Cornejo's Apollo and Ashley Laracey in Concerto Barocco. Hope she can add the role to her rep with NYCB!
koshka
I was there for the last 3 nights--great program. International Night I was VERY eclectic. Carla Korbes was an absolutely magnificent stand-in in Elegie. Other high points for me were Cornejo in everything, Bill Irwin in everything, and Who Cares (closing piece of the Balanchine evening). I recommend it highly to ballet lovers, but pack a down throw--it got mighty chilly after the sun went down!
sandik
Oh, Bill Irwin -- I would watch that man buy groceries.
