Amy Reusch
Great news out of SFB : http://www.sfballet.org/about/media_center/press_releases/Chris_Stowell "In this position, he will serve as Tomassons designate and liaison to Executive Director Glenn McCoy and SF Ballets administrative team on matters of planning, budgeting, and program expense management". Is this typical for an Assistant Artistic Director? Link to comment
sandik
I can't say it's "typical," mostly because I don't think there is a standard job description for that position -- it's very dependent on what the main AD wants. For this job at this company, I think the best thing to do is look back at the history of SFB, and how they've handled the division of responsibilities. When Christensen was AD, was Michael Smuin ever the "assistant?" Stowell is smart and skilled -- he brings a huge range of experience with him to this position. It's up to Tomasson, the administration, and the board how they want to utilize it. Link to comment
Amy Reusch
Hard to believe that Tomasson could be 71 already. Link to comment
sandik
Hard to believe that Tomasson could be 71 already. Especially since that means we're all older now! Link to comment
Amy Reusch
Exactly. That's what makes it so hard... Link to comment
