Mme. Hermine
In a notice on her school's website, the following is written: Dear Margo Marshall School and City Ballet of Houston dancers and families; It is with great sadness that I share the following news; our dear Margo Marshall passed away on Saturday morning (7/19), quickly and without suffering. We are a family, a home, a village. I want to reassure everyone that Margo's wishes were for the studio and company to continue and to thrive. She would expect all of us to carry on and not skip a beat, and in that spirit, we continue with all classes, Summer Workshop and the season on our regular schedule. The studio is in excellent hands with Dennis Marshall, Mary Beth Arrington, and our excellent staff and teachers. Margo Marshall School of Ballet and City Ballet of Houston will carry on as one of the finest schools and companies in Houston, Texas and the nation. A celebration of Margo's life and our love for her will be planned and we will have news posted soon. We anticipate mid to late August. Should you desire, memorial contributions to Margo's passion, City Ballet of Houston, or to the Margo Marshall Scholarship Fund for Dance are appreciated. Fondly, the Marshall family, friends and staff. Link to comment
Gina Ness
I am so sorry to read this... I didn't know her personally, but I know and danced with her son Dennis at SFB during the seventies. I'm really thinking of her family and the many students she inspired throughout the years at this sad time... Link to comment
