little-junkie
I just stumbled upon this article from 2010, thought I would share here: http://www.parentcentral.ca/parent/familyhealth/children%27shealth/article/748466--ballerina-dreams-come-true Link to comment
Birdsall
That is heart warming! Thanks for sharing. I had a humbling experience when I went to my first Jivamukti Yoga class (been doing yoga for years but went to Jivamukti for first time in August). I was worried b/c I heard it was rigorous and thought I might not be able to do some of the poses. Well, there was a woman with only one leg in that class and she has to modify most things and can't do some of the poses at all. I felt so humbled by her courage to do yoga in a full class (and she continues to do so) while I had worried I wouldn't do a perfect downward dog, etc. People with disabilities who do whatever they want are truly inspiring to us. Here we are lucky, yet hold ourselves back while they are fearless! Puts things in perspective! Link to comment
