bart
I found this linked on former MCB ballerina Deanna Seay's Facebook page: Stick around for the lovely smile at the end --and the curtsy. Kermit the Frog is suitably impressed. Given the relative scarcity of video of Farrell dancing her NYCB rep, we should be grateful that George Balanchine did not choreograph "20 Grands Battements." The Balanchine Trust would ban it from You Tube. On the other hand, didn't Balanchine do something like this in Stars and Stripes? Please, don't tell the Trust. Link to comment
Ray
It's so cute, of course, and I love the way she places the foot so thoughtfully into 5th after each battement--all 20 times. Each one an event in itself... Link to comment

bart
Not to mention the next video -- taking little and big steps! Didn't know about that one ..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BjnS-ApxOQ&feature=related And, while we are at it ... On that one, I admit that I thought this might involve counting to 32, though fouettes were not an NYCB strength in those days. Love the idea of the Count ... counting. Link to comment
sandik
This corner of YouTube is full of treats -- if you watch to the end of The Count counting Farrell's turns, you can watch The Count sing along with Cab Calloway! Link to comment

MakarovaFan
Many thanks, Bart and Mme. Hermine, for the wonderful clips. The muppets lining up to hand her bouquets was adorable. Link to comment
