Dale
It's coming out soon: http://www.amazon.com/Little-Mermaid-John-Neumeier/dp/B005OV1MWA/ref=sr_1_5?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1319469773&sr=1-5 Kind of disappointing that this was listed as one of the Dance in America offerings when it is already available. Of course, we always complain that we want those performances released but to broadcast an already released DVD seems a little thin. Link to comment
Natalia
PBS has been pulling that trick for years, Dale. They did it with the POB Jewels, Wiseman's 'La Danse' documentary, SFB's Nutcracker. Well, at least this week's Miami City Ballet program and the December 14 Live from Lincoln Center NYCB Nutcracker won't be rehashes of already-released DVDs. On the bright side, the DVD version includes 35 minutes of 'extras' that most likely will be omitted from the telecast. Link to comment
Birdsall
I ordered the Little Mermaid. Can't wait to see what it is like. I just got Wheeldon's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland in the mail from Amazon today also. Can't wait to watch it tomorrow. I am so glad they are releasing dvds of new works, so that we can see them without traveling all over! Link to comment
