carbro
I was just scrolling through some recent Google Doodles and came across one, available only to Googlers in Denmark, commemorating Auguste Bournonville's birthday. No direct link, but you can find it by scrolling to the approximate middle of this page to August 21, 2010. Link to comment
bart
Thanks for that, carbro. It's nice to know that the cultural awareness of Bournonville in Denmark allows for such depictions. Some of these international Google pictures are amazingly subtle and lovely. For example, though I don't know who Peder Severin Kroyer was, the image of a man and woman walking along a beech, with the letters G-O-O-G-L-E emerging gravefully from a a gray and slightly choppy sea, is unforgettable. (July 23, 2010). I also love the 71st Anniv. of the Wizard of Oz painting, August 12) Why don't images like this show up on MY Google page? Link to comment
