Showcase of Ailey II, Houston Ballet II, and YAGP

For those interested in seeing up and coming talent, Festival Ballet Theatre is hosting its inaugural dance festival showcasing these exciting ballet dancers. The San Francisco Ballet Trainees were fantastic when they came and performed this fall, so I am expecting no less for these dancers also! There is only one performance on Friday, May 7th at the Barclay Theatre in Irvine so don't miss out.

Ailey II will perform:

Isba (excerpt), choreographed by Alvin Ailey;

Splendid Isolation II (The Calling), choreographed by Jessica Lang

Houston Ballet II will perform:

Blue (excerpt),

choreographed by Stanton Welch;

Long and Winding Road (excerpt), choreographed by Stanton Welch

Festival Ballet Theatre II will perform:

La Vivandiere,

choreographed by Arthur Saint Léon;

The Animated Frescoes excerpt from The Little Humpbacked Horse,

choreographed by Saint Léon/Petipa

and select YAGP finalists and award winners will perform a variety of classical and contemporary pieces.
