Pamela Moberg
Since Renee Fleming won the Polar Prize she has been a frequent delight on Swedish television. Not long ago there was "Der Rosenkavalier" and most recently, a recital from St. Petersburg with the Russian baritone Dmitrij Chvorostovskij. This concert was part of an offering called "The glory of Russia" and is available on DVD. Link to comment
bart
Pamela, let's hope you in Sweden get to see the transmission of Fleming in Rossini's Armida. (Met HD broadcast May 1; U.S. encore May 19; Canadian encore, May 22). http://www.metoperafamily.org/metopera/sea...n.aspx?id=10450 This month's Opera News has an article on the 6 tenors in Armida, plus a production history of the opera, but nothing devoted to Fleming per se. (Not that Fleming has been ignored in the past. ) Link to comment
