Thanks, Mme. Hermine! That was fun! (I haven't been to the circus in some time either!) I reminds me that a still photo I saw many years ago, identified as taken from the first BBC television broadcast in 1936, was of two ballet dancers performing, very tightly framed, but no limbs "cut off".
